Welcome to the first Nectar Happenings. Once a month we'll tell you everything going on inside the salon: what we're celebrating, who's new, what's coming. If you've ever wondered what's happening at Nectar, this is where to look.

BRING US A PUMPKIN, TAKE HOME A BLOW DRY

Drop off a pumpkin and we'll hand you a voucher for a free blow dry, good through December 31. That's the whole deal. Real pumpkins only, please, and pretty ones are welcome to stay inside where everyone can see them.

The pumpkins do double duty. On Halloween they go home with the kids.

HALLOWEEN AT NECTAR — SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31

We're opening the doors for a community day. Bring the kids in costume, trick-or-treat through the salon, and take a pumpkin home. Details are coming, and we'll post them on our Facebook page as soon as everything is set.

MEET JOSE

Jose joined us this month and he's already busy. He does hair and makeup, which makes him the person to see for weddings, events, or any day you want the whole look finished. He also speaks Spanish, so if that's easier for you or someone in your family, ask for Jose. Se habla espanol.

PEDICURES WITH MAY

May is now on our booking system, so you can reserve a pedicure online like everything else. She's also adding a hot stone massage to pedicures right now. Book it while it lasts.

COMING UP

- November and December raffle baskets. Every purchase gets you a ticket. Our stylists, nail artist, estheticians, and providers are all filling the baskets.
- Client appreciation party. Tickets, gift bags stuffed with goodies from local businesses, and a portion of proceeds going to a local cause. Date announcement coming.
- Holidays at Nectar. Interior designer Michelle is styling the whole salon this year, and she's doing it with live trees instead of boxes of decor. It's going to smell incredible.
- January. Those little trees find new homes. Come get one and plant it.

ONE MORE THING

Something we say a lot around here: we win when the people in this building win. Every stylist, every renter, every provider under this roof is building something, and our job is to help them do it. That's the difference between a collective and a row of rented rooms.
